Our initiatives focus on spreading knowledge about symptoms, causes, and impacts, while advocating for healthier lifestyles to actively prevent diseases. In addition to education, we engage with the community through volunteer activities, demonstrating our commitment to making tangible contributions in the fight against cancer.

Luminary Hope for Cancer - Hope Across Eastern & Center (abbreviated as LHFC-AEC) is a student-led nonprofit organization. At LHFC-AEC, our mission is to raise public awareness about cancer and educate individuals across society about various cancer types. Our primary goal is to enhance accessibility to information and work toward the prevention of these diseases through educational efforts. Founded and operated by high school students, the organization strives to make a meaningful impact by providing tangible support and spreading awareness.

Hi everyone, my name is Ethan Chen, and I’m from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. I’m 16 years old and currently a 10th-grade student at Lutheran High School in Indianapolis. I joined Luminary Hope for Cancer because I’ve witnessed many individuals struggling with illness and lacking the support they need. This inspired me to take action and raise awareness about their challenges, while bringing them hope and care.

I’m passionate about creating a community where people come together to make a difference. Through this organization, I hope to contribute to meaningful projects, spread kindness, and inspire others to support those battling cancer. In my free time, I enjoy singing, reading, and volunteering, which have taught me the value of empathy and action. Let’s work together to bring warmth and strength to those in need!
